RM won 8 straight with Mbappe and Vinicius playing but without Jude and then immediately lost the next game when Jude started playing. Not saying you don’t have a point but it’s easy to do that to most players when they play or don’t. We also lost to a second division team without Mbappe. This can be spun in a 1000 ways that will not be of much use to anyone

I think there is a misconception here that most of us want Vinicius to leave as way to solve our problems. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Vinicius leaving is not about solving all our problems with one move, it’s about the saying “every action has an equal reaction”. In the NBA there is a new way players that aren’t superstars negotiate their contracts. They turn down multi year deals because they feel as if they would be underpaid and instead sign a “bet on myself” contract for a year in a move to prove teams they deserve top money. Vinicius wants 30 million a year, he doesn’t deserve any monetary increase. He refuses to sign a contract that Perez offered because it is not up to his monetary standards, he then proceeds to have multiple public issues with the manager the club chose which ultimately leads to the manager being sacked and a peacemaking substitute be hired instead. This season from that point went from the Xabi season to the Vinicius soap opera. From that moment on, this became a “bet on myself” kinda deal for Vinicius. Xabi, the guy that held him back, was now gone. It was time for Vinicius to prove everyone he is still that guy, that he was shackled and that was only possible by winning. The problem? He hasn’t proved anything and we haven’t won anything, again. He bet on himself and lost and thus should be let go because failure at Real Madrid is not an option. If Vinicius stays, that is a precedent for other players to do what he has done. Because failure would no longer be a capital offence here anymore, if he got away why couldn’t others. It would further promulgate a toxic ideology within the dressing room of RM. This isn’t about solving our issues by letting one player go, this is about the just consequences of unprofessionalism and egotism, of making everything about yourself and failing to walk the walk.
